Before this event, we would like to introduce you the idea of the Human Library and invite you for screenings of the movie "The Human Library / Żywa Biblioteka". After each screening there will be a discussion with invited Human Books.

The movie was made as part of the Europa Transit project for San Sebastian - the European Capital of Culture 2016. The premiere was at the Human Rights Film Festival in Buenos Aires. The document, through the prism of the Human Library, talks about the situation of minorities in Poland and initiatives that are fighting for a more tolerant and multicultural Poland.
One of such initiatives is the Human Library, which since 2004 has been recognized, by the Council of Europe as the official method in education about human rights. It creates a space for social dialogue, in which through conversation with the person (Human Book) anyone can challenge the stereotypes and take a critical look at what thoughts about others. With the opening of the difficult subjects to the community. Human Books combines one thing: discrimination. By borrowing Human Book, the reader reveals the story of a minority person who is alienated because of his or her origin. religion or psychosexual orientation. In a country unparalleled to diversity, this library is an opportunity to counteract discrimination.
