Artistic dance film is a relatively unknown and poorly researched phenomenon in Poland. One of the names proposed for it in English academic discourse is ‘dancefilm’ (a term coined by Erin Branningan). Following the latest research conducted by theoreticians of the field (Telory D. Arendell, Erin Brannigan, Sherril Dodds, Douglas Rosenberg), Pastuszak will outline the hybrid nature of this genre born from the interaction of two art disciplines: film and dance. According to the subtitle, the lecture is composed of 9 variations, each of which will shed light on a different issue related to dancefilm.
