The player has to accept local goals, myths, and social norms in order to move to the next field. The Ministry of Anomie is aware of the moral conflict caused by abandoning one’s ideals for the sake of the community. The Ministry thus allows the player to commit anomic suicide twice so as to avoid the difficult choice between the self and the group.
The Ministry hopes that the choices and decisions of the players will improve the design of new models of social coexistence.

The Ministry of Anomie is an international research organization. It was created by various more or less successful anomic groups which have been active over the centuries and fought against more or less forcefully. The precursors of anomic movements were the first to question normative and moral order in the existing social models. At present, the Ministry observes, tracks, and analyzes anomic states in the new reality, where the prevailing system of norms is disintegrated and conflicting. The Ministry operates everywhere where confused, disoriented, and pointless individuals are unable to meet the contradictory demands of social coexistence. The Ministry proudly restores open and flexible reality to communities on the edge of deviation and develops new social “norms” to fit the new needs of anomic states. The Ministry collects intelligence, performs tests and secret operations. The actions of the Ministry often remain unnoticed due to radical discretion and obscure methods.
The project which The Ministry of Anomie prepared for the Łaźnia Center for Contemporary Art is addressed only to Polish-speaking audiences.
