We gather on the occasion of a feast performative lecture held by resident Viktória Kaslik who will cook her research on property rights over land accompanied with a performance by Tatiana Dziewanowska, as a culmination of their research of the past month, and nonetheless to sensorially meet and celebrate dandelion.
Viktória is a designer moving between research and embodiment. Being formally a jurist in Hungary, she has a critical gaze towards the legal system seeing it as a humanly made infrastructure that also designs and acts upon us: legal codes become internalized and absorbed by the collective body. In her present research she is examining relation to land beyond being seen as a legal object and investigates how animism and spiritual practices support imagination of socio-ecological systems. During her stay in Gdańsk she has been observing dandelions, starting a kind of co-researcher and allyship. She intends to convene and to collectively listen to the wisdom that dandelions might murmur or shout to us.
The event takes place in the frames of Visual and Sound Artists Residencies programme, supported by the Visegrad Fund.
